Launch cup

Single launch cup for pyrotechnic projectiles

A launch cup is used in a alarm gun to fire pyrotechnic projectiles (e.g. signal ammunition , bird scare ).

Single launch cup

The shape and size of the launch cup can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but also from model to model, but the inside diameter of newer models is usually 15 mm. Many launch cups have relief bores to allow excess gas pressure to escape. In order to be able to fire the signal ammunition, the launch cup is screwed into the muzzle of the alarm gun.

Multiple launch cups

Launching cups are also available in stores with which several pyrotechnic projectiles can be launched. For this purpose, the multiple launch cup is either inserted into the single launch cup and clamped there or screwed to the barrel of the weapon with the help of an adapter.

Multiple launch cups are basically divided into two different categories.

  1. Launching cups where the projectiles can be fired at the same time.
  2. Launching cups in which the pyrotechnic projectiles can be launched one after the other.
