Absolve domine

The Absolve Domine is the tract of the Requiem in the Catholic liturgy , which in the course of the funeral mass directly follows the chant of the Graduale .

Absolve, Domine, animas omnium fidelium defunctorum from omni vinculo delictorum.

Et gratia tua illis succurrente, mereantur evadere judicium ultionis.

Et lucis aeternae beatitudine perfrui.

German translation:

Deliver, O Lord, the souls of all departed believers from every bondage of guilt.

Your grace come to their aid so that they can escape the judgment of vengeance.

Let them enjoy the eternal light bliss.
