Abyss ( English for abyss ) in the Australian amusement park Adventure World ( Bibra Lake , Western Australia , Australia ) is a steel roller coaster model Euro-Fighter from the manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides , which opened on November 1st, 2013. The 630 meter long and 12 million US dollar route reaches a height of 30 meters from which the trains are accelerated to a maximum speed of 85 km / h, and has three inversions and a descent with a gradient of 100 degrees.

history

In April 2013, the park first announced on its Facebook page that a US $ 12 million attraction would be built in 2013. Construction work started in May 2013 and the first rail parts arrived in July. The construction of the railway itself by Gerstlauer took seven weeks. Due to the horror theme, the name of the train was announced on Friday, September 13, 2013. Abyss opened on November 1, 2013.

journey

The first part of the journey takes place inside the station building. After the car has left the station, it makes a right turn, which is followed by a small descent. After several left turns, the carriage arrives at the first of three inversions with the inline twist , a complete turn of the rail. Once in the open air, the car climbs the vertical lift and reaches its starting height of 30 meters. The 100 degree steep descent that follows is followed by an Immelmann , a combination of half a loop and a screw, an over-sloping left-hand bend and an airtime hill . After a right turn, the car reaches the block brake. After another descent, a dive loop and a left turn, the train pulls into the final brake and returns to the station.
