The Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH is a German manufacturer of portable and stationary rides and roller coasters , based in the Bavarian Münsterhausen .

history

In 1982 Hubert Gerstlauer, a former employee of Schwarzkopf GmbH , founded his own company, which he called "Gerstlauer Elektro GmbH". With this he supplied electrical and pneumatic systems to the Schwarzkopf systems, before he acquired part of the production halls after the Schwarzkopf company went bankrupt and continued the production of rides and roller coasters there. In March 2007 the company was renamed "Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH" with reference to the expanded product range.

Roller coaster models

As the first own roller coaster of the company that was founded in 1998 G'sengte Sau type bobsled coaster in Tripsdrill theme park built. Since 2003, the Gerstlauer company has made a name for itself primarily with the “Euro-Fighter” model, which is available in various versions across Europe and in the USA. The first roller coaster of this type is Vild-Svinet in the Danish theme park BonBon-Land . A special feature of all types of the Euro-Fighter is the first drop with a gradient of at least 95 °. Another model is the Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster , in which the passengers sit face to face.

Since June 2008, the Fluch von Novgorod roller coaster has been under construction in Hansa-Park . In the spring of 2009, the combination of Euro-Fighter and Launched Coaster was opened as the first run of the new type with the product name "Kataplektor" in Hansa-Park. In addition, the roller coaster Saw - The Ride was created in the English theme park Thorpe Park .

In 2013 Gerstlauer introduced the new model Infinity Coaster with The Smiler .
