Mystery Mine in Dollywood ( Pigeon Forge , Tennessee , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the Euro-Fighter type manufactured by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides , which opened on April 13, 2007.

The railway is themed after a haunted mine from the 19th century with parts of the track outdoors and a large building with special effects.

The ride on the roller coaster takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds and has two vertical lift pits and a 95 ° first drop . As inversions one were Heartline Roll and a dive loop installed. The construction of the railway cost 17.5 million  dollars and was the most expensive attraction ever built in Dollywood.

Trains

Mystery Mine has seven cars. Eight people (two rows of four) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.

  • On July 2, 2007, Mystery Mine was named Best New Theme Park Attraction of 2007 by Theme Park Insider .
  • Mystery Mine was rated as the 48th best roller coaster in the Top 50 list of the best steel roller coaster in 2007 by Amusement Today .
  • In September 2007, Amusement Today announced that Mystery Mine was ranked # 2 of 2007 New Attractions, and Maverick at Cedar Point was ranked # 1.
