Maverick became Cedar Points 17th roller coaster on May 26, 2007 . Maverick has different, varied driving elements. These include, for example, a 32 meter high and 95 ° steep first drop , several airtime hills , a "twisted horseshoe roll" (new driving element, which consists of a corkscrew , a steeply inclined curve and a second corkscrew) as well as steep turns with up to 92 ° bank angle. The specialty of Maverick is the LSM lift as well as a second launch at 113 km / h in a 122 meter long tunnel under the station. Originally Maverick was equipped with a Heartline Roll , but after a few test runs it was removed and replaced with an S-curve to reduce the material stress that the trains would experience in the original element.

Maverick was designed to offer variety and uniqueness through tight turns and elements close to the ground, but not like Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster from 2000 and 2003 to break altitude and speed records.

Trains

Maverick owns six trains with three cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.32 m tall to be allowed to ride. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
