Blue Streak in Cedar Point ( Sandusky , Ohio , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster by the designers Frank D. Hoover and John C. Allen and the manufacturer Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with the serial number 131 , which opened on May 23, 1964.

The name Blue Streak means something like blue train . However, not only the train is colored blue, but - apart from the rails - the whole railway.

It is currently the oldest roller coaster in the park.

journey

The route has a classic out-and-back layout. After leaving the station, the train takes a left turn and reaches the 24 m high lift hill . Once at the top, passengers can expect a 22 m high descent at 45 °. Some hills follow until the train reaches one end of the route. There the train makes a 180 ° left turn so that it runs parallel to the opposite of the previous route. Here the route also has a few hills before he hits the covered final brake.

Trains

Blue Streak has two trains with four cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. This enables a maximum capacity of 1400 people per hour.
