Duinrell ( German  source in the dunes ) is an amusement park and campsite near the Dutch cities of The Hague and Wassenaar . With an area of ​​100  hectares and around 1.4 million visitors annually, Duinrell is one of the 25 largest amusement parks in Europe.

The park opened in 1935 with a few sheet metal bungalows as overnight accommodation for hikers . The park was expanded in several steps and an amusement park was added. The amusement park of the same name consists of several small attractions, a summer toboggan run and a large swimming pool. Guests can stay overnight in Duingalows , bungalows with different facilities. The park now includes a large campsite with over 300 parking spaces (of various sizes and features) and a youth hostel ("Duinhostel"). Parents can also rent Kettcars for their children and are allowed to drive around the entire site. You only have to lock the vehicles when the park is open. Various activities throughout the year always attract guests to the square. The Falcon roller coaster opened on May 14, 2009.

For a few years there has been a year-round fun pool with 11 water slides, which are one of the main attractions with a total length of over 1000 meters. In the winter months when the amusement park is closed, campsite visitors have free entry to the water park. In spring and autumn, entry for 2 hours is usually included in the price of the pitch or hotel. Entrance to the park is free for holidaymakers living there, visitors pay admission without the early bird discount.

The pool itself is a family pool, which is known for its water slides:

  • "Moonlight": Black Hole with light effects and 2 waterfalls
  • "Starfright": Black Hole with light effects and 2 waterfalls
  • "Blits": fast water slide with a heavy helix and a dark end section
  • "Flits": over 30% incline and dark end stretch
  • "Pelikaan Duik": slide from a height of 7 meters that ends 3 meters above the water level
  • “Cannonball”: a short turbo slide that goes through the floor and is 6 meters long
  • “Family Slide”: blue water slide
  • “Superslide”: green water slide
  • "Cycloon": so-called funnel slide , d. H. you slide down a fast tube and land in an oversized funnel until you slide to the middle and fall into the water
  • "Tyfoon": slide with three times the acceleration of gravity
  • “X-Stream” (since 2010): water slide with rocket launch and glass element

Other attractions:

  • "Lazy River": around 250 meters long water channel, which runs through grottos and through the outdoor area of ​​the bath, whereby the channel is tunneled over
  • Wave pool: pool in which waves are generated at certain intervals

The Tiki Pool is one of the largest water parks in Europe and has the largest number of water slides in the BeNeLux countries.
