Takabisha ( Japanese 高 飛車 ) is a steel roller coaster from the German company Gerstlauer Amusement Rides . It was opened on July 16, 2011 in the Japanese amusement park Fuji-Q Highland and, with a maximum gradient of 121 °, is the steepest roller coaster in the world. It is of the Launched Euro Fighter model, also called a cataplector, and the second system of its kind.

Takabisha means “dominant; bossy "and comes from the Shōgi where hisha (in phrases -bisha called the tower). Literally, however, the characters of takabisha mean “high-flying car”.

Other roller coasters in the amusement park are Dodonpa , Eejanaika, and Fujiyama .

On October 25, 2019 were US Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park with TMNT Shell Raiser opened a identical plant.

Trains

Takabisha owns six cars. Eight people (two rows of four) can be seated in each car. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
