Vild-Svinet (Danish for wild boar) is a steel roller coaster in the Danish BonBon-Land theme park in Holme-Olstrup.

Vild-Svinet is the prototype of the Euro-Fighter model from the German manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides . The specialty of this type of roller coaster is that the first drop has a gradient of more than 90 °.

The first descent from Vild-Svinet after the vertical chain lift has a gradient of 97 °. This made the railway the steepest roller coaster in the world in its opening year. The Takabisha roller coaster in the Japanese amusement park Fuji-Q Highland now holds this record .

The train has four two-part carriages for eight people each (two rows of four people). Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.

The BonBon-Land amusement park is known for the unusual naming and design of its attractions. Also Vild-Svinet is designed according to its name. In Denmark, wild boar also stands for street hooligans. Accordingly, the railway station is designed as a racing station with pigs in racing suits. Due to construction restrictions, parts of the route above a certain height are painted sky blue.

Awards

In 2004 the park and the manufacturer Gerstlauer received the novelty prize "FKF-Award 2003" of the Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks eV for the roller coaster . In the reason for the price, the specialty of the first descent is emphasized.
