The BonBon-Land is a theme park in Holme-Olstrup , a place næstved municipality in the south of the Danish island of Zealand .
amusement park
The theme park Bonbon-Land has candy sweets as a theme and its story is based on their sweets . The park is operated by the Spanish company Parques Reunidos . Parques Reunidos owns a total of 67 theme parks around the world and is also the third largest operator of theme parks in Europe. The park's landmark is the farting dog Henry Hundeprut. The offers in the amusement park are primarily aimed at children and families. The amusement park is designed in such a way that families or children cannot use all the games and leisure activities in one day due to the wide range of options.
history
The BonBon factory received numerous inquiries from school classes who asked for a tour. As a tour of the factory was not possible for hygienic reasons, the Danish confectionery entrepreneur Michael Spangenberg opened the BonBon-Land amusement park in Holme-Olstrup in 1992. At first the park consisted only of a candy shop, a cinema and a pond with duck boats. Today the park has 60 attractions, including roller coasters such as the Hundeprutte- Rutschebanen (dog fart slide), wild water rides and child-friendly leisurely rides.
Expansion of the amusement park
BonBon-Land has more than 60 different leisure facilities that can be driven on by manned or unmanned personnel. Over the years, the amusement park has grown steadily and in 2008 it was ranked eighth among the most visited attractions in Denmark. In 1998 the BonBon-Land already reached an area of 85,000 m². After the commissioning of the Bæver Raftingen (beaver white water course) in 1998 in BonBon Land, the amusement park was expanded to 110,000 m². The new wild boar route ( Vild-Svinet - steel roller coaster ) added another 15,000 m² of space in 2003. Since its last expansion in 2003, the park now covers an area of 130,000 m². The last expansion of the park took place in 2011 with the Hestorado 5D. With the reopening of the park on April 15, 2011 and the completion of other construction work, it was put into operation.

Sweet
BonBon is a Danish candy brand that gave rise to the BonBon-Land theme park . The sweets are made with rough and grotesque motifs such as dog farts, ear wax and duckweed.
Company history
BonBon A / S was a confectionery manufacturer and was originally founded in Næstved in 1930 . In 1988 the confectionery factory was bought by the Danish entrepreneur Michael Spangenberg and production was relocated to Holme-Olstrup. In its new production facility, Spangenberg also included an extensive and popular range of sweets under the BonBon brand in its program, on the basis of which the BonBon-Land amusement park was later created. The idea for this new BonBon series was born when Michael Spangenberg's son spurned his sweets as dog spices. Soon after, Spangenberg began producing sweets known as dog spices in Holme-Olstrup . Other motifs soon followed, such as gull droppings and duckweed. In the second half of the 1990s, four types of these candies were also sold in Germany.
In 2001 BonBon was taken over by the Danish candy group Toms Gruppen A / S , while the Danish amusement park BonBon-Land was sold to the Spanish amusement park operator group Parques Reunidos for an estimated 20 million euros. The buyer of the confectionery brand BonBon, Toms Gruppen A / S, however, announced that the series would be discontinued due to falling sales. Previously, individual varieties had gradually disappeared from the shelves. Shortly afterwards, Toms said they were trying to continue the series. Currently (as of April 2012) BonBon is still on offer at Toms
