Acceptable operator exposure

Acceptable operator exposure ( AOEL , Acceptable operator exposure level ) is a concept of risk assessment of chemicals and pesticides . It describes the amount of substance that a user can be exposed to on a daily basis without negatively affecting his health in the long term. The AOEL is usually expressed in milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day. It is derived from the NOAEL and a safety factor.
