Achim Joos

Achim Joos (born February 9, 1978 in Calw ) is a German paraglider pilot .

Life

Joos started flying at an early age. As a soldier in the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces , he was able to devote himself fully to paragliding from an early age. Joos was a member of the German national team from 1997 to 2005. As early as 2000, at the age of 22, he was third at the European Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , in 2001 and 2004, 2005 and 2006 he was German champion . As the high point of his aviation career, he won the overall World Cup in 2003, after winning many victories and top positions in internationally renowned competitions . Achim Joos is one of the world's most successful paraglider pilots.

In 2010, Joos completed his business psychology studies with a diploma. Since 2011 he has been managing director of the Freiraum paragliding school in Ruhpolding .
