Acta Astronautica is a monthly scientific journal that publishes articles on all topics related to the peaceful scientific exploration of space . The magazine, which appears under the auspices of the International Academy of Astronautics , is published by Rock Jeng-Shing Chern. The magazine is published today by Elsevier .

The predecessor of the magazine called Astronautica Acta was published 1955–1966 by the Springer publishing house in Vienna, then until 1973 by Pergamon Press .
