Acta Sociologica

Acta Sociologica. Journal of the Nordic Sociological Association is the English-language journal of the Scandinavian Nordic Sociological Association , an amalgamation of several national sociological societies. It is expressly open to contributions from non-Scandinavians. The quarterly journal was founded by Theodor Geiger and has been published since 1955. It is published by sociologists from the Swedish University of Gothenburg .

In 2012, the journal had an Impact Factor of 0.714, ranking 82nd out of 137 journals in the Social Sciences Citation Index in the Sociology category.
