Action Replay is a brand name of the Datel company , under which a cheat module for game consoles and computers is sold. The cartridge is currently available for Nintendo GameCube , Game Boy Advance , PlayStation 2 , Xbox , Nintendo DS , Nintendo Wii , PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Nintendo 3DS .

overview

The plug-in module can freeze and save complete games, for most consoles such saved games can be found on the Internet. Furthermore , data of a running game stored in the main memory can be manipulated in order, for example, to generate additional lives, infinite ammunition for weapons or the like ( power-up ).

The first Action Replay was designed for the C64 in the 1980s , successors were Action Replay II , III , IV and VI . The Amiga version was also called Action Replay and contained a “brake” that could be adjusted using a potentiometer , which reduced the working speed and thus the game speed. There were three versions of this for the A500 , A2000 and later the A1200 . The successors were the versions Action Replay Mk II and Mk III .
