Ad impression

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In marketing jargon, ad impressions (or views ) are individual calls to advertising material on an ad server .

The number of views of the individual advertising media is usually logged on AdServers . On the one hand - and above all - the billing of online advertising is in many cases calculated according to the thousand contact price (CPM) . On the other hand, the number of ad impressions is an important indicator that can later be used in conjunction with other performance values ( clicks, leads, sales and orders ) to determine conversion ratios in order to assess the efficiency of the individual advertising media and media channels and, if necessary, optimize them.
