Adobe Atmosphere , a product of the software manufacturer Adobe Inc. , is an authoring environment for creating interactive 3D scenes, embedded in web pages or PDF documents.

Atmosphere scenes can combine 3D objects, audio, video and Flash objects in a three-dimensional space that can be explored by several users at the same time. The users, represented as avatars , can communicate and interact with one another. The integrated Havok - physics engine allows realistic simulations of physical laws (for example, gravity, centrifugal force, etc.).

Adobe Atmosphere has three components:

  • The free Atmosphere Player serves as a plug-in in Windows Internet Explorer or Adobe Reader for entering and exploring interactive 3D scenes.
  • With the Atmosphere authoring environment, 3D scenes can be designed and published.
  • The public Atmosphere Collaboration Server enables the communication and synchronization of scenes and users.

Since December 19, 2004, the product is no longer developed or sold.
