Address qualification

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Address qualification describes the enrichment of raw address data with additional information . It is usually carried out in preparation for direct marketing campaigns.

Address qualification is done for two reasons. On the one hand to update already existing addresses and on the other hand to enrich incomplete addresses.

Update of addresses

In the business world in particular, but also in the private sector, the quality of addresses drops rapidly within a few years. Especially personal data here they are often not last long. Whether because of a promotion, a change of company, relocation, termination or similar, the length of time employees spend in companies is getting shorter and shorter.

The address data available in the company, especially the data of customers who have been inactive for a long time, must therefore be checked regularly. This is usually done in preparation for a direct marketing campaign to activate inactive customers.

Enrichment of addresses

Frequently, however, important data about the recipients are not available. Some of the data obtained from address suppliers are also incorrect and insufficient. Usually the name of the contact person in the company is missing. The email address, extension number, and the position of the contact person must usually be determined using an address qualification. Addresses are usually qualified and updated by telephone.
