List broker

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List brokers ( address brokers , data brokers ) are companies or brokers who lend or sell addresses of companies and private individuals (indirectly for marketing purposes ). A list broker has market knowledge and a wide range of contacts to companies that are ready to make their address inventory available for advertising purposes. He negotiates with address owners to get clearance for promotions and informs his customers about quality differences and prices.

The list broker either buys the data sets from other companies or collects addresses itself in individual cases. The address data sets obtained are categorized and sorted according to criteria and stored in an address database . The use of address brokers is the classic way of obtaining the most current addresses possible for the required target group . Often, the acquisition is accompanied by a transfer of rights for unrestricted use, but not the right to resell the addresses.
