Adrian Cann (born September 19, 1980 in Thornhill , Ontario ) is a Canadian football player.

Career

college

Cann played on the college soccer team at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky from 2000 to 2003 . In his first year he was able to establish himself on the team's starting line-up. At the end of the first season he was included in the first selection team of the All-Conference USA. In the following years he was able to achieve several awards.

professional

After graduating from college, Cann took part in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. There he was selected by the Colorado Rapids . At the Rapids, he played two games and was released in the middle of the 2004 season due to foreigner restrictions in the team. A little later he moved to Montreal Impact in the USL A-League .

2006 Cann left the club and then played for Vancouver Whitecaps , where he played 58 games in the second highest division ( USSF Division 2 Professional League ) and scored one goal. The young man stayed with this club for two years and moved to the Danish club Esbjerg fB . He only played 14 league games for Esbjerg fB. In 2010 he left the team and tried a trial at Toronto FC . At the end of training he was signed for one season. In Toronto, Cann made his debut on April 15, 2010. After three seasons with the Canadians, he was released in November 2012. In the MLS Re-Entry Draft 2012 was not selected by any team, so he was without a club.

On January 22, 2014, he signed with the San Antonio Scorpions .

Cann has played for the Canadian national team since 2008 and has played 8 games for Canada so far. Cann ran in two games during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers but failed to qualify for the finals in South Africa with Canada.
