Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road

The Adrian and Blissfield Railroad ( AAR reporting as mark: ADBF) is an American shunting - Railway Company in Michigan . The company is based in Blissfield .

The company took over operations on February 14, 1991 on the former 24-kilometer Erie and Kalamazoo Railroad route from Adrian to Riga . The line was acquired by the state after Penn Central went bankrupt and is leased to the respective operator. In Adrian there is a transition to the Norfolk Southern Railway and in Riga to the Indiana and Ohio Railway .

Since April 19, 1991 excursion trains have also been offered under the name "Murder Mystery Train". It is also operated on the industrial connections Detroit Connecting Rail Road, Charlotte Southern Rail Road and Lapeer Industrial Rail Road, which are managed as subsidiaries.

The most important transport goods are grain, fertilizers, scrap and wood.

The seven locomotives (six EMD GP 9 , one GE 65-ton ) transport around 1000 freight cars annually.
