Adrian von Hammerstein

Adrian Freiherr von Hammerstein-Equord (* 1953 in Berlin ) is a German manager . His father is the theologian Franz Freiherr von Hammerstein-Equord , his grandfather the former Colonel General Kurt von Hammerstein-Equord .

The graduate economist has been working in leading positions in the information and communication sector for 20 years. From May 2007 he was Chairman of the Management Board at Kabel Deutschland , the largest German cable network operator. With the takeover by Vodafone, Hammerstein Kabel left Germany and switched to the supervisory board of the parent company.

Before that, von Hammerstein was chairman of the divisional board of the IT service provider Siemens Business Services . Prior to that, he had managed Fujitsu Siemens Computers for five years , first as CFO and then as CEO. Under his leadership, Fujitsu Siemens developed into a profitable and recognized provider of IT hardware and infrastructure. Earlier stages of his career were divisional director of the Siemens Information and Communication Products division, commercial manager of the server business at Siemens Nixdorf and controller at Digital Equipment .

He graduated from Hammerstein in the United States, where he graduated from Harvard University with a doctorate in 1980 .
