The Chairman of the Editorial Board is Ryoji Noyori from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan and the RIKEN Research Institute, Saitama, Japan. The previously merged journals Chemiker-Zeitung and Journal für Praxis Chemie were merged into the Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis journal in 2001.
