The Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC) is an investment company from Abu Dhabi .

ATIC was founded in 2008. Investments are focused on companies that deal with high technologies . The government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is the sole owner of ATIC through the Mubadala Development Company . The estimated size of the mutual fund is $ 10 billion. In 2009 ATIC took over the majority of the shares in the foundries Globalfoundries and Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing , which were then merged under the name Globalfoundries. In early 2014, ATIC announced investments of up to US $ 10 billion for the Globalfoundries chip factory in New York .

In 2014 ATIC became Mubadala Technology .
