The Advofin Prozessfinanzierung AG is the oldest service provider of litigation financing of collection procedures in Austria . AdvoFin was founded in 2001 as an Austrian litigation financing company and is financed by financially strong, independent institutional investors. By the end of the 2017 financial year, AdvoFin had achieved over 260 million euros for almost 24,000 customers.

history

In the first five years since it was founded in 2001, Advofin took over the financing of individual lawsuits ( building damage , doctor's liability ...) In 2006, Advofin took over the financing of a class action in the Salzburg WEB housing affair for 2,300 victims. This class action was followed by other collective proceedings, especially in the area of the capital market ( Immofinanz , Auer von Welsbach, Meinl European Land). In 2018, Advofin launched the largest class action lawsuit in Austria with more than 3 million potentially affected. Around 300 million euros are to be reclaimed from ORF because it illegally levied VAT on almost 3.3 million GIS customers.
