Aelius Longinus
Aelius Longinus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .
An inscription that was found at the fort Cilurnum and which is dated to 201/300 shows that Longinus was Praefectus equitum . According to John EH Spaul , he was prefect of Ala II Asturum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia .
