The Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aeronáutica Civil (UAEAC, German  Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aviation , Aerocivil for short ) is the national aviation authority of Colombia . It operates under the direction of the Ministry of Transport and is based at El Dorado Airport in Bogotá .

Aerocivil regulates the safe navigation in the airspace of the country as well as the administration of the aviation and airport infrastructures . Aerocivil also manages civil airspace and oversees aerospace security. Aerocivil strives for the proper handling of civil aviation in Colombia, the aviation industry and the safe use of its airspace, thus making it easier for the various modes of transport to increase the competitiveness of the country.

Aerocivil is a leading authority in South America in improving the accuracy of weather forecasts and nowcasting for flight safety.
