Aerokopter is a helicopter manufacturer based in Poltava , Ukraine .
General
The company was founded on December 14, 1999 as JSC CB Aerocopter by Igor V. Polituchyi, ANZapishnyj and AIPolituchij, with the aim of developing a light helicopter. It was decided to build a two-seater with a weight of 650 to 750 kg. The first helicopter flew on October 12, 2001. The second helicopter AK1-3 flew in July 2003. In addition, there were plans to build a five-seat helicopter and an AI-450 - turbine manufacturer's Ivchenko-Progress equip.
The Aerokopter Trade Company was founded in 2005 in Kharkov to market the helicopter internationally. In November 2009, Perla Group International Ltd. from Dubai takes the majority stake in Aerokopter and plans to relocate production to Dubai.
