Aeropuerto de El Papalon is an airfield in El Salvador .

The unpaved runway with around 1000 meters of usable length has a northwest-southeast orientation and is located around 7 kilometers southeast of the city of San Miguel . It runs parallel to the main street Carretera Panamericana Nº 1. The airport is administered by the Commission Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma .

The airfield was originally planned as Aeropuerto Regional ( regional airport ). However, the expansion was abandoned and the airfield is now only approved for light aircraft . There are no facilities on the premises. The Aeroclub de El Salvador uses this airfield for training flights.
