The Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal (AICEP) ("Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade") is Portugal's state chamber of foreign trade with its seat in Lisbon .
history
The Carnation Revolution in Portugal was followed by a phase of slow consolidation in the late 1970s, accompanied by a slow economic upturn and increasing economic integration of Portugal into the European economic area. In April 1982, as part of this development (constitutional reform October 1982), the ICEP , the Instituto do Comércio Externo de Portugal ("Portuguese Foreign Trade Institute ") was created.
In October 2002 the state AIP , the Agência Portuguesa para o Investimento ("Portuguese Investment Agency") was founded.
In 2007 ICEP and AIP were merged into AICEP .
Goal setting
The AICEP supports Portuguese companies in their internationalization and foreign companies to invest in Portugal. It is the direct point of contact for the company and, as a " one-stop agency ", provides advice, brokerage and service.
structure
The AICEP is based in the Portuguese economy ministry in Lisbon . It has 82 offices in 77 countries on 5 continents. It has 14 export offices ( Loja de exportação ) in Portugal .
