Agash

Agash ( Avestian "evil eye") is a female demon from Persian mythology . The demon belongs to the group of Daevas and is the personification of the damage and curses that one can cause and suffer through the sense of sight . With the help of this evil eye , illnesses and streaks of bad luck can be caused. It brings suffering, disease and death to people, which is why it embodies the principle of "perdition" in ancient Iranian mythology.

She is also one of the seven drugs, or drujs , arch demons who serve Ahriman .

The “evil look” can even cause death without any action or in full awareness of the victim whose gaze it is crossing.

Further meaning

The Arabic word Agash was also used in what was once the largest open drug scene in Europe in Zurich's Letten train station as a warning to the police.
