Agenția Spațială Română (English Romanian Space Agency ) is the Romanian space agency.
history
The ASR was founded in 1991.
Romania has an aerospace tradition:
- Conrad Haas , multi-stage rockets with delta wings: Sibiu, 1529
- Traian Vuia , powered airplane 1906
- Henri Coandă , the first jet-powered aircraft in 1910
- Hermann Oberth , "father of space travel"
International agreements
On December 22, 2011, Romania became the 19th member country of ESA
