Agostino Diruta

Agostino Diruta (* around 1590 in Perugia , † after 1647 in Rome ) was an Italian conductor and composer.

The Augustinian monk was the nephew and pupil of Girolamo Diruta . He was first church conductor in Asola (1620-1622) and from 1630 worked in the same position at Sant'Agostino in Rome.

He created sacred music, including several masses , motets and other works.
