Aichmagoras
Aichmagoras ( ancient Greek Αἰχμαγόρας ) is a person of Greek mythology .
He is the son of Heracles and Phialo , daughter of the Arcadian hero Alkimedon . Immediately after his birth he is abandoned by Alkimedon together with his mother in the mountains. The child's wailing cry is imitated by a jay (ancient Greek κίσσα ), who draws the attention of Heracles who happened to be passing by. He follows the call of the bird, assuming he can hear a child, then finds Aichmagoras and the mother and frees them from their bonds.
The myth was told by the inhabitants of Phigalia after Pausanias . The spring at the place of release is said to have been named after the bird Kissa .
