The Aigrette ( fr. "(Silver) Heron", "spring Crown") is a historical headdress of Heron springs , in particular of springs of the silver heron , which on a ring of gold or silver, a string of pearls or a turban were attached. It was popular in pre-revolutionary France and during the Empire and then again with tango fashion in the 1910s and 1920s.

The aigrette was also worn as a flower arrangement on turban by Indian and Ottoman dignitaries.
