AIPTEK (Advanced Intelligent Personal Technologies) ( Chinese  天 瀚科技 , Pinyin Tiān Hàn Kējì  - "Wide as the sky") is a manufacturer of consumer electronics products. Founded in 1997 and based in Hsinchu ( Taiwan ), the company primarily produces pico projectors, camcorders , graphics tablets, digital pens, digital picture frames and 3D products. Aiptek has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since January 14, 2003 (ticker number 6225).

Aiptek also has branches in Shanghai ( People's Republic of China ), Irvine (California) and Willich (North Rhine-Westphalia).

history

Aiptek began developing and producing graphics tablets in 1997 to create drawings on the computer. The brand became known worldwide in 2000 with the PenCam, which sold over 2.5 million times in a very short time. In 2006, the world's first digital picture frame with a camera followed, in order to digitize analog photos directly. In 2010, the PocketCinema V10, one of the first mobile projectors, came onto the market, which was followed by a number of other models. In addition to mobile stand-alone devices, Aiptek also brought out models for notebooks, iPads, iPhones and iPods or bizarre models with boom boxes or karaoke functions.
