Ajahn
Ajahn ( Thai อาจารย์ ʔāt͡ɕāry' , RTGS a-chan [ ʔaː˧.t͡ɕaːn˧ ] from Sanskrit आचार्य ācārya ) is a Thai term that is translated as a professor or teacher. Ajahn is used as a salutation for college and university teachers as well as for Buddhist monks.
