Ájtte Svenskt och fjäll- same museum is the Swedish mountains - and seed Museum in Jokkmokk .

Ájtte is the main museum for Sami culture , a special museum for the nature of the Scandinavian mountain range and an information center for mountain tourists . The museum opened on June 15, 1989.

The word Ájtte comes from Lule Sami and means storage room.
