Akinetic-Abular Syndrome

The akinetic-abulic syndrome is a neurological-psychiatric complex with movement inhibition ( akinesia ) in connection with a lack of determination ( abulia ). The cause can be brain trauma (especially in the case of damage to the frontal lobe ) or undesirable effects of medication ( neuroleptics ).
