Akira Kakinuma

Akira Kakinuma ( Japanese 柿沼 章 , Kakinuma Akira ; born April 24, 1972 ) is a sports director in cycling and former Japanese road cyclist .

Akira Kakinuma was Japanese time trial champion in 2001 and he finished third overall at the Tour de Korea . The next year he drove for the Giant Asia Racing Team , where he finished third in the national time trial championship. From 2005 Kakinuma drove for the Continental Team Miyata-Subaru and from 2008 he drove for the Japanese team Bridgestone Anchor .

At the end of the 2011 season he ended his career as a cyclist and became Sports Director at Utsunomiya Blitzen .
