The Healthy Back Action ( AGR ) e. V. is an association based in Bremervörde, Lower Saxony .

The purpose of the association is to promote research that concerns the development and prevention of back pain , as well as the public dissemination of the relevant research results.

Members

Supporting members of the association are exclusively natural or legal persons from the medical world, such as doctors and clinics. Industrial companies or specialist dealers are excluded from membership.

seal of approval

The association awards the AGR seal of approval "Tested & Recommended", which is awarded to particularly back-friendly products. It can be awarded to every ergonomically relevant everyday product such as neck support pillows, beds, car seats, special seating furniture, office furniture, school bags, rollators and walking aids, shoes and garden tools.

For an award, each product must meet criteria that have been established by independent experts from various medical fields. In the event of any complaints, the review committee will give the manufacturer the necessary modifications. If these are implemented, the product can be submitted for a new test. After passing the test, the AGR seal of approval is awarded.

After a maximum of five years there will be a review if the manufacturer wishes to continue using the seal. Every change made to the product must be reported and may require a review. Possible changes in medical knowledge that were decisive for the award of the quality seal can also influence the further use of the quality seal.

The AGR seal of approval for back-friendly products was tested by Öko-Test in 2010 .

Training programs

The association organizes training programs for specialist dealers, doctors and therapists. In the distance course "Advisor for back-friendly relationship prevention ", movement specialists can receive further training in the area of relationship prevention.
