The Akzisehaus with city wall

The Akzisehaus is a historic building in Templin in Brandenburg .

It is located on the south side of Obere Mühlenstraße in the southeast of the old town of Templin at Obere Mühlenstraße 11.

The half-timbered house was built in 1768 together with the New Gate of the Templin city fortifications. Taxes and customs duties were levied at the Akzisehaus. Food imported into the city was taxed and levees were levied on people passing through. An archway stretched across the street, which was demolished after 1960.

The building was later used by the Templin tourist information office.
