Alain Plagne

Alain Plagne (* 1970 ) is a French mathematician.

Plagne received his doctorate in 1998 from Jean-Marc Deshouillers at the University of Bordeaux I (Points entiers sur les courbes strictement convexes, sommes de sous-ensembles et codes de recouvrement). He is at the Center de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz of the École Polytechnique .

In 2003 he received the European Prize in Combinatorics for work on combinatorial number theory. He also deals with coding theory and additive combinatorics.
