Alain Robert (mathematician)

Alain M. Robert (born October 15, 1941 ) is a Swiss mathematician.

Robert received his doctorate in 1967 from the University of Neuchâtel under Roger Bader ( Quelques questions d'espaces vectoriels topologique ). Later he was a professor at the University of Neuchâtel.

He is known from various textbooks, especially p-adic analysis .

In 1982/83 he was President of the Swiss Mathematical Society .
