The magazine Albania was an organ of the Albanian national movement Rilindja , published by the journalist and diplomat Faik Konica . The magazine was published from 1897 to 1910.

history

The first edition of Albania appeared in Brussels on March 25, 1897 , initially in Albanian and later also in French. From 1902 to 1910 it was published in London . Albania became one of the most important titles among the early Albanian press products and was available in all European countries as well as in the provinces of the Ottoman Empire .

Content and meaning

The magazine Albania covered a wide range of topics, from history to politics and economics to language, culture, art and religion. The bilingual magazine not only served the Albanian diaspora in Western and Central Europe, but was also an important source of information about Albania among diplomats. Many important Albanian authors at that time published parts of their works in Albania , such as Gjergj Fishta , Andon Zako Çajupi , Kostandin Kristoforidhi and Thimi Mitko .
