Andon Zako Çajupi

Andon Zako Çajupi (actually Andon Çako ; born March 27, 1866 in Sheper in the Zagoria , southern Albania ; † July 11, 1930 in Cairo , Egypt ) was an Albanian writer and translator .

Life

Çajupi studied law in Egypt and Switzerland . After a brief activity as a lawyer, he turned completely to writing. Known during his lifetime through poetry such as The New Testament , dramas such as Der Mann der Erde were published after his death . In addition, Çajupi worked as a translator from French.
