Albert-Eduard-Insel (also: Albert-Eduard-Land , Albert-Edward-Insel ) is the name of a phantom island in the Franz-Joseph-Land archipelago . She was sighted during the Jackson Harmsworth Expedition (1894-1897) northwest of Prince George Land and named after the then British heir to the throne and later King (Albert) Edward VII .

In 1931 the crew of the airship LZ 127 "Graf Zeppelin" chartered by the Aeroarctic was able to prove that the island - like Harmsworth Island - does not exist, since no land could be seen at its traditional position as far as the horizon. As a result, she disappeared from the maps.
