Alberto Gómez (born June 10, 1944 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

The 1.68-meter-tall offensive player Gómez rose in 1966 with Liverpool Montevideo in the Primera División and was then at least in the years 1967 and 1969 to 1971 on the squad of the first division club. He then played from 1972 to 1974 in Mexico with Torreón. In the season 1974/75 he was under contract with Universidad de Guadalajara . A season at Jalisco followed with 24 appearances (no goal). In the 1976/77 season another station was recorded at San Luis . There he played 38 games and scored four times.

National team

Gómez was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the 1970 World Cup. There he came in the course of the competition in the quarter-final match against the Soviet Union for his only tournament appearance, when he was substituted on for Julio César Morales in extra time .
