Alberto Nogués , also known as Alberto Noguez , († 1978 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

The defender Nogués initially played for the Wanderers . After his change he was a member of the Club Atlético Peñarol from 1927 to 1936 . There he was in 1928, 1929, 1932, 1935 and 1936 with his club Uruguayan champions in the Primera División . In 1928 they also won the Copa Aldao . At the end of the 1920s, Nogués and Denis D'Agosto formed the defender couple of the regular eleven. Nogués, who worked as a doctor, was considered an extremely correct player, who is reported to have never received a warning on the pitch. He continued the work he had begun in the club's medical department during his active career - on the European tour in 1927 - for a few decades after his playing career ended. He remained connected to the Aurinegros until his death in 1978.

National team

Nogués also played for the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the South American Championship in 1922 . He was not used during the tournament.
